Fall Youth Field Hockey

What aged players are appropriate for this program?

Full league play is for students in grades 5-8. We also hold once a week clinics for students in grades 1-4.

What time of the year does this program run?

Our season runs from the last week of August through the last week of October

Where are practices and games typically held?

Practices are typically held at Cove Park. Home games are played at Cove Park or on the turf at Wethersfield High School.

When are practices and how often are they?

The 5th&6th and 7th&8th grade teams practice twice a week, typically from 5:00-6:30.

The 1st-4th grade clinics are held on Saturday mornings.

How many games will they play? What days of the week?

The 5th&6th and 7th&8th grade teams will play 1 or 2 games every weekend.

The 1st-4th graders have the potential for a few Sunday scrimmages towards the end of the season.

What costs beyond registration fees should be expected?

Each player will need a field hockey stick*, mouth guard, shin guards, and goggles.

Uniforms are purchased during the registration process.

*The league may have extra sticks if needed
